It is situated 15km away from sub-district headquarter Barkot and 100km away from district headquarter Uttarkashi. As per 2009 stats, Dakhyatgaon is the gram panchayat of Dukhyatgaon village. The total geographical area of village is 368.49 hectares. There are about 147 houses in Dukhyatgaon village.
